YOU WILL LEARN

The concept of engagement coaching, its importance to organisations, particularly in relation to the current economic climate, and share the 'how to' on delivering it successfully.

This is classified as a: "Coaching skills development" workshop, providing a fresh, original approach to coaching.

ABOUT THIS EVENT:

We will provide an overview of employee engagement and explain its importance.

Employee engagement is overtaking retention as the big challenge within organisations, driven by the current economic climate, rising unemployment and people sitting tight, amidst belt-tightening measures. The result is often a lowering of morale, as the people who are left behind pick up the work loads of those who have departed and wonder if they will be next and when.

We will define engagement coaching and explain who needs it and why.

Employees need support to stay focused on the job in hand, and productive to ensure the best chance of survival, personally and for the organisation. While managers need support in understanding the importance of engaging their employees and help in being an engaging manager.

We will talk about the types of skills involved in engagement coaching, for both internal and external coaches working with people managers wanting to improve their employees' productivity, and an approach and tools to raise the level of emotional engagement.

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Understand what an engagement conversation is and how it differs from a performance management conversation and how it extends beyond a career development conversation.
  • Be introduced to tools and exercises that you can share with your clients to help raise their engagement levels and to support them as they experience the various elements of an engagement conversation with their reports or manager.
  • Have an approach and skills for supporting managers engage their employees.

This workshop is eligible for CPD and a Certificate will be given the night of the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
