One book I recommend to clients is "Happy for No Reason" by Marci Shimoff.
The book talks about overcoming negative thoughts and patterns that
attribute to people not moving forward on goals or in their lives. The
book gives scientific research and reasons that attribute to
unhappiness and these negative patterns. It has exercises and stories,
as well as tons of resources.
Another easy read is "The Law of Attraction Plain and Simple" by Sonia Ricotti.

The Power of Focus and the Aladdin Factor by Jack Canfield
The former is very blunt and hard hitting. The other are a softer, but more inspirational and encouraging, approach.
And
incredibly helpful book that takes a little different approach to
finding out where we need to be headed and what can get us off course
is Laurence Gonzalez's book: Deep Survival: Who Lives, Who Dies, and Why. This has helped many clients over the last couple of years, especially during some tough times.

I recently read from Boomers to Bloggers by Misti Burmeister and Work+Life: finding the fit that's right for you by Cali Williams Yost. I found both of them to be great for improving communication between generations. I also found work+life a great way to motivate myself to really look at my balance and see if it was what I wanted or not.

I love Tim Ferris' 'The Four Hour Work Week'
- it helps you think about why you are working the hours that you do
and how to take yourself out of your business - - very inspirational!
